We have just acquired this large Victorian Family Bible relating to the King Family of Plymouth in Devon, specifically George (b. 1844) and Sarah Jane (b. 1843) King, and listing their what we believe to be their only child Harry George (1877 – 1947) hs wife Florence Mary (1880 – ) and their daughter Mary [Perl?]bridge (1911 – ). More research will reveal whether this assumption is correct.
The Bible also includes numerous inserts, including press clippings and religious ephemera.
