A late Victorian pocket Bible belonging to John and Kate Thompson which as well as a number of fern leaves pressed between the pages, includes some fabulous inserts held within the pocket incorporated into the back cover of the Bible: small family register on a note, two named locks of fine hair, wrapped in tissue and a number of pressed flowers. The Bible includes a further inscription on the endpaper "From their affectionate sister Hannah Thompson, 10th Novermber 1884"
