Large Leatherbound Victorian Family Bible relating to James Cleaver (b. 1828, Eathorpe) and his wife Mary Abbotts (born 1840, Leamington Spa) who married in Birmingham in 1860. Gold tooling to spine.
The Family register covers 14 individuals, starting with James and Mary, lists their then children and also includes some information about their parents. The last date in the register is a death, occuring in 1994, meaning the entire register covers nearly 200 years. The register is written in a neat hand and covers 4 pages. In addition, their is a two page handwritten note detailing further information about the Cleaver children (eg "William Cleaver, wounded at the Battle of Kilfontein Oct 24th Died at Ladysmith South Africa October 28th 1899 Interned at Ladysmith").
