A charming Victorian cross stitch alphabet Sampler in a light modern frame, embroidered by Fanny Lammas, and dated 1890.

Searches of the census records, along with the location in which the item was acquired leave us to believe Fanny Lammas was of the Lammas family of Barnet in Hertfordshire,

Fanny would have been 10 years old when she made this item.
